Gardening Re-development of the church gardens began, in earnest, a few years ago after repair work on the building foundation had been completed. Ron Smith designed the layout along the east wall & Rose Helliwell very generously donated all the hostas & colorful shrubs. From there, enthusiasm evolved to do something along the south wall. The hydrangeas came from the garden of Ron & Norma Smith & the colorful geraniums are, each year, bought by Rose. Sandi Sparkes, Joyce Bryon & Doug & Sheila Ridge have, in turn, been doing all the ‘grunt’ work. It is worth mentioning the gorgeous showing this summer almost as if in tribute to Norma, whom we lost this year.
